Join the Indy Rainbow Chamber of Commerce for Business After Hours, our signature monthly networking event held on the first Wednesday of each month.* It’s an opportunity for Chamber members, guests, LGBTQ+ professionals, entrepreneurs, allies, and community partners to come together, make meaningful connections, discover local businesses, and strengthen our community.

Whether you're looking to grow your business, expand your professional network, meet potential partners, or simply become more involved, Business After Hours is a great place to start.

New to Business After Hours?

Make the Most of Your First Event

Walking into a networking event for the first time can feel a little intimidating—but you won't be doing it alone. Business After Hours is designed to make connecting easy. Come ready to introduce yourself, meet new people, and have a few conversations. You never know which introduction could lead to your next customer, business partner, mentor, referral, or friend.

Here are a few ways to make the most of the evening:

Come with a goal. Challenge yourself to make 3–5 new connections before you leave.
Perfect your introduction. Have a quick 20–30 second “elevator pitch” ready: who you are, what you do, and what kind of connections you're hoping to make.
Find a Chamber leader. Introduce yourself to a Board Member or Chamber Ambassador and let them know you're new. We’ll be happy to help introduce you to other members.
Work the room. Don't spend the entire evening with people you already know. Introduce yourself to someone new and invite others into your conversations.
Bring a way to connect. Business cards are great, but having your LinkedIn profile or a digital contact card ready makes following up easy.
Ask questions. Great networking isn't just about talking about yourself. Ask others about their business, career, or what brought them to the Chamber.
Follow up. The real value of networking happens after the event. Reach out to your new connections within a few days and continue the conversation.

Most importantly: come as you are. You don't need to be an expert networker—you just need to be willing to say hello.

The Indy Rainbow Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday Dinner is our signature end-of-year celebration, bringing together LGBTQ+ professionals, business owners, community leaders, friends, and allies for an evening of connection, celebration, and holiday cheer.

It’s a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, make new friends, celebrate the relationships and accomplishments that made the year special, and toast to the opportunities ahead.
